As a Patient Services Representative, you'll play a crucial role in supporting patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers. Working under the guidance of an Operations Manager, you'll help coordinate access to vital therapies and ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders.

Position Details
- Contract: 8+ months, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time
- Start Date: September 3rd
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8 AM - 9 PM EST
- Compensation: $18/hour
- Location: Remote (EST or CST preferred, some state restrictions apply)
As a Patient Services Representative, you'll play a crucial role in supporting patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers. Working under the guidance of an Operations Manager, you'll help coordinate access to vital therapies and ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and general program inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Assist patients in navigating support programs (Copay, Patient Assistance Programs, Medicaid, etc.)
- Coordinate with pharmacies and process wholesale orders
- Manage follow-up activities, including gathering missing information and assisting with prior authorizations
- Report adverse events as directed
- Research and resolve claim denials or underpayments
- Utilize various approved methods to collect information (phone, fax, mail, online)
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving requests promptly and accurately
- Identify and report trends or delays to program management
- Ensure all program correspondence meets quality standards
- Collaborate with patients, providers, and internal teams to gather necessary documentation
- Exercise good judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions
- 1+ years of customer service or high-volume call center experience
- 6+ months of experience in the medical, healthcare, or insurance industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently from a queue
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
