Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pathologist Assistant for a travel contract position in Louisville, KY. This 13-week assignment offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team of pathologists and laboratory staff. As a Pathologist Assistant, you will be integral in ensuring the accurate handling, processing, and reporting of specimens. Your expertise in histology, pathology, and human anatomy will be essential to the success of our laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day tasks related to histology, pathology, and laboratory medicine.
Accurately handle and process specimens.
Collaborate effectively with pathologists and laboratory staff.
Ensure detailed and precise reporting of laboratory findings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
BLS Certification.
PA (ASCP) certification is required.
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy.
Proficient in laboratory skills, including specimen handling and processing.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in Pathologist Assistant or related field.
Experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting is a plus.
