The Party Manager is offshore based and is responsible for the Seismic production related activities onboard our Node handling vessel and Source Vessels. The Party Manager will have overall management of the project's offshore related activities with appropriate delegation to supporting Operations Superintendents and the Party Manager - Source (PXGEO or Contractor assigned).
The Party Manager is responsible for the Project execution offshore with direct reporting to the OBN Leadership Team to include the Operations Manager and Project Manager for all OBN project related activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Management and coordination of all OBN production related activity on the OBN Node Vessel and Source Vessels ensuring EHSQ standards are followed, and contractual obligations are met
Establishes and maintains a strong Project leadership team offshore with a high focus on EHSQ and Performance
Accountable for making sound real time decisions in an operational context supported by the Operations Superintendent and the OBN Leadership Team
Forward planning and forecast in close collaboration with the OBN Leadership Team to review operational risk identification, and development of project documentation including the Project Execution Plan and MEDEVAC plan
Accountable for the execution of an efficient project, including detailed acquisition plans and associated decisions to be agreed with the onboard client
Responsible for following contractual requirements including deliverables, data quality, including the client interface for acquisition quality issues, advised by department chiefs
Autonomy in making decisions regarding onboard discussions with client in respect to chargeable time-based and production-based units including negotiation in the best interests of the PXGEO
Coordinates closely with the Operations Support team and all other stakeholders to plan efficient crew movements
Systematically challenges and approves the purchase requests placed by all seismic departments at the work site
Monitor performance according to PXGEO KPI's, contractual expectations of the client, and internal PXGEO budgets linked to project specific cost sheet as assigned by the OBN Leadership Team and implement associated remedial actions required
Responsible for project reporting (daily, weekly, and monthly) which form the background documentation for client invoicing, including client sign-off
Responsible for the acquisition of quality data
Encourage active EHSQ involvement of PXGEO and all subcontracted Employees with their daily work behavior and reporting
Ensure site specific procedures are subject to regular TRA review by on site line management
Ensure PXGEO standard operating procedures are followed at the work site, and that management of change is implemented appropriately
Manage onsite resources, material and human, to maximize efficiency and to build a team environment
Maintain good working relationships with all stake holders on and offsite
Coordinate site requirements through the OBN Leadership Team, supply chain, agents, and other parties to maintain an efficient logistical infrastructure around the crew
Managing the Client interface offshore supported by the seismic crew
Responsible for operational risk management at the work site; identification and mitigation of project and work site risks in close cooperation with all stakeholders
Fulfill their assigned responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team in line with the Emergency Response Plan and duty list as required
Requirements
Higher National Diploma or University degree with Project Management experience preferred
10 years' experience in marine seismic acquisition preferred, with pre-requisite Deputy Party Manager or department chief experience
Experience in management of client interface including interpretation and negotiation
Experience in compilation of final reports, and concise reporting
Microsoft Office skills to maintain and navigate various databases and produce reports of a quality that can be shared to external clients
Extensive experience of EHSQ management
Detailed understanding of modern marine acquisition techniques, including a good technical skill set, and core competency in a minimum of one relevant technical field
Broad operational knowledge, understanding of each department's functions, challenges, and purpose
Detailed understanding of the various contract models under which marine acquisition takes place, and resultant risk profiles of contract models
