Partnership Coordinator

Overview

This position develops and implements community outreach activities, programs, and systems to increase Age Strong’s visibility as well as nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners. The position is also responsible for coordinating the Commission’s Community Ambassador Program, the Civic Academy and other civic engagement/community outreach programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day to day activities of Age Strong’s Community Ambassador Program, the Civic Academy and other civic engagement programs.
  • Supervise Community Ambassadors including recruitment, tracking service hours, reviewing timesheets, and preparing necessary paperwork for stipends and other reimbursements.
  • Assist in the administration of program goals.
  • Produce and maintain marketing and outreach materials; understand and coordinate outreach activities and build shared cross-unit goals.
  • Effectively communicate information to the public about Age Strong Commission programs and services through community outreach, engagement, and presentations.
  • Expand our reach into Boston’s diverse communities with specific focus on underserved and immigrant communities.
  • Assist the Director in organizing and streamlining how we communicate about our services offering user-friendly concepts.
  • Communicate objectives and deliverables to other Age Strong staff providing instruction and training.
  • Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities. Maintain an annual marketing and outreach calendar including events, workshops, appearances, and other opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate information and provide instruction.
  • Assist the Director in strengthening Age Strong’s overall brand through existing and new avenues.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend marketing and outreach goals for all Commission programs and services. Work collaboratively with the Director to innovate existing and implement new outreach strategies for the Commission.
  • Establish a system for ongoing assessment of the Commission's marketing strategies and recommend modification.
  • Travel to sites as required.
  • Perform related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time experience in program management, community organizing, marketing or communications.
  • Associate’s degree may count for up to one (1) year of required experience, bachelor’s degree may count for up to two (2) years of required experience.
  • Experience with marketing databases, email marketing, social media and/or other display advertising platforms.
  • Creative with experience identifying target audience and devising targeted campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Familiarity with the aging field preferred.
  • Experience with grant writing preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to convey information effectively and promote programs.
  • Culturally competent with experience and comfortability delivering services to a multiracial, multicultural and multilingual population.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, adaptable and collaborative attitude.
  • Proven logistical coordination skills preferred.
  • Strong problem solving ability is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills both in person and by phone/email/Zoom.
  • Strong customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
  • Self-starter with strong time management ability.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to give and receive team feedback.
  • Demonstrates proper use of databases, and data management tools.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
  • Travel within Boston will be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
  • MA driver’s license required.
  • Experience in typical office software systems (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or equivalent) required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, CaboVerdean Creole, Vietnamese, Cantonese, or Mandarin) highly preferred.
  • Compliance to documented policies and procedures
