WRAL-TV is looking for a Broadcast Technician to join our award-winning team. This person will perform news production duties including audio board operations, audio set up, studio set-up, and other video production associated duties. The right candidate must be able to follow instructions of the producer/director to operate camera as necessary to obtain desired shots and audio mixes; suggest desirable shots to producer/director.
Responsibilities
Perform audio board operations and audio set up.
Assist in the set-up and tear-down of equipment.
Operate Studio Cameras.
You may be asked to operate our vest managed Steadicam.
Operate teleprompter system as needed.
Assist in lighting; studio lighting experience using light meter necessary.
Sweep, clean, and pick up trash from studio scene, and work areas as required.
Qualifications
The individual must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to follow instructions of the producer/director.
Be able to work first, second, and third shift as needed.
Have good, quick decision-making abilities.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move with a minimum of 40lbs in many environments including outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
