Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join our team as an Online Advanced Pharmacology Instructor. In this role, you will prepare and deliver advanced pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics content to family nurse practitioner students. The instruction will be provided through an asynchronous format, utilizing lectures, case presentations, and small group discussions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the curriculum for the MSN Advanced Pharmacology course.
Prepare and deliver course content with a focus on evidence-based knowledge necessary for the selection of pharmacological agents for managing acute and chronic health problems.
Discuss key principles of pharmacology, including mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenomics, and drug interactions.
Incorporate research data and evidence-based treatment guidelines for clinical application and decision-making related to drug selection, adverse effects, and patient monitoring across the lifespan (from infants to older adults).
Advise and assist students in mastering course content.
Minimum Qualifications
PharmD degree or PharmD-PhD or equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical experience.
Graduate-level teaching experience.
Experience teaching online asynchronous courses.
Skills in curriculum development.
