Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable part-time sommelier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasting our products, creating detailed tasting notes, and acting as an expert consultant for our clients. This role involves scheduling and conducting tasting meetings/calls with potential buyers, understanding their needs, and recommending the best products from our portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Taste and evaluate our range of non-alcoholic wines and spirits to create comprehensive tasting notes.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio and keep up-to-date with new arrivals.
- Schedule and conduct tasting meetings/calls with potential buyers, including Michelin-starred restaurants, 5-star hotels, and luxury venues.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to understand the needs of potential buyers and recommend suitable products.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients, tailoring suggestions to their specific requirements.
- Educate clients on the nuances of non-alcoholic wines and spirits, including food pairings and serving suggestions.
- Attend industry events, tastings, and exhibitions to represent the company and expand your network.
- Train company employees about the products and potentially lead weekly tastings over Zoom or in person.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certified Sommelier or equivalent certification.
- Extensive knowledge of wines and spirits, with a particular emphasis on non-alcoholic options.
- Previous experience working in high-end restaurants, hotels, or wine & spirit distributors. - Exceptional tasting and evaluation skills with the ability to articulate detailed tasting notes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in scheduling and conducting virtual and in-person tastings.
- Passion for non-alcoholic beverages and a commitment to promoting their appreciation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Michelin-starred restaurants, 5-star hotels, or luxury clientele. - Established network within the wine & spirit industry.
- Knowledge of current trends in the non-alcoholic beverage market.

Location:
Los Angeles area/remote, with occasional travel for tastings and client meetings.
