Key Responsibilities
Instruction (80%):
Conduct Work Zone Safety classes adhering to established curriculum standards.
Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
Stay updated on state regulations and local laws relevant to course content.
Serve as a resource for participants, clarifying course material and answering questions.
Attend required training sessions and seminars as scheduled by the organization.
Ensure all classroom activities meet quality assurance standards, including emergency procedures.
Classroom & Materials Preparation (10%):
Test and ensure functionality of audiovisual equipment at classroom locations.
Conduct routine safety checks and report maintenance issues promptly.
Assist in setting up classrooms and managing logistical arrangements.
Instructional Support (10%):
Monitor classes for quality assurance and provide constructive feedback.
Assist fellow Instructors with technical issues and support operational duties as assigned.
Submit expenses and maintain accurate records in a timely manner.
We're Looking For Someone With
Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
Strong knowledge of construction practices and work zone safety.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to present effectively to diverse groups.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in relevant instructional technologies.
Master's degree preferred; background in education or engineering desirable.
Public speaking and presentation skills.
Experience Working With Diverse Populations Preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Valid driver's license may be required.
Successful completion of Criminal Offender Record check.
Additional Information
Remote position.
Compensation: $40/hr.
