Job Summary/Basic Functions
Eastern Kentucky University is now accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified applicants for the 2024-2025 academic year Online Facilitators in the discipline of General Business. A course facilitator will serve to assist the Instructor of Record (IOR) for a course.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study from an AACSB-accredited institution
Or
Completion of 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution
Licensure & Certifications: Discipline-Specific
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in General Business from an AACSB-accredited institution.
Professional licensure or certification.
Professional experience in the field of General Business.
Online teaching experience.
Job Duties
To lead and help maintain student discussion groups, as assigned. (Note: Facilitators are each assigned three groups of students with ____ members in each group.)
To provide assessment of individual student group discussion participation and assign grades for each student in a timely manner (usually by the Saturday night of each week).
To grade all assignments of students in their respective groups (discussions, written unit assignments, and speeches) and submit those grades in the online Bb grade book.
To communicate with IOR any issues, potential problems, or suggestions for improvement as the course unfolds.
