The Department Of The History Of Art And Design At Pratt Institute (both Brooklyn And Manhattan Campuses), Is Creating a Pool Of Part-time Faculty Applicants For The Fall 2022 Semester To Teach In The Following Areas


Art History Survey Courses (Ancient to Medieval; Renaissance to Modern/Contemporary)


History of Design Survey Courses (History of Interior Design, History of Industrial Design, History of Communications Design)


Asian Art


African Art


Latin American/Pre-Columbian Art


New Media

Art History Survey Courses: we require that candidates have an MA in the History of Art or the History of Design; ABD or PhD, and teaching experience beyond the TA level is preferred.


History of Design Survey Courses: we require that candidates have an MA in the History of Design or the History of Art; ABD or PhD, and teaching experience beyond the TA level is preferred.


Asian Art, African Art, Latin American/Pre-Columbian Art, New Media: we require that candidates be at least ABD, PhD and teaching experience are preferred.
