The School of STEM-Department of Natural Science at Vermont State University invites applications for Fall 2023 (August 21, 2023– December 15, 2023).
The Course to be taught is CHE 1031-General Chemistry 1
Positions are available at the Johnson and Lyndon campuses.
This is the first course of a two-semester sequence on the fundamental principles of chemistry. Topics include atoms and molecules, types of chemical reactions, stoichiometry, gases, and thermochemistry. Lab experiments reinforce concepts and cover laboratory skills and analytical techniques.
3 hours of Lecture & 3 hours of Lab per week
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field with teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Chemistry or closely related field and teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.
Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.
Salary
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
