Part-Time Corporate Counsel

Our Client is a family-owned Agriculture Company looking to hire a part-time Corporate Counsel. This role will be the first in-house legal hire, allowing you to set up the legal processes and systems within the organization! This is a remote role, promoting flexibility and work/life balance. The Corporate Counsel will report directly to the VP of HR, but work closely with C-Suite executives.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts including leases, vendor and supplier agreements, licensing agreements, etc.
• Provide estate planning services related to ownership.
• Advise internal departments on business transactions, partnerships, and ventures, offering legal guidance and support.
• Stay updated on laws and regulations impacting the organization, advising on compliance, governance, and intellectual property matters.

Qualifications:

• J.D. and California Bar License
• 5+ years of experience practicing law within the food/beverage or agriculture industry
