PART TIME CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
DEPARTMENT: Public Services - Planning
HIRING RATE: $25.34/hour
BENEFITS OFFERED: No Benefits Offered
POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday-Friday up to 29 hours per week
LOCATION OF POSITION: Public Services Building - Dunlap
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on application)
Job Summary
Responsible for conducting on-site investigations/inspections of complaints, reviewing complaints for compliance with ordinances, and providing consulting services to resolve complaints and/or violations.
Job Requirements
Associates Degree or completion of technical specialty programs of 18 months- 3 years duration required; 1-2 years' experience in related field preferred
Knowledge of and ability to read, interpret and apply state and local zoning and building codes, maps, and county geography
Ability to competently serve the public with diplomacy and respect, including occasional encounters with irate/hostile persons
Valid driver's license; must be 18 years of age
Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices
