Enforces parking vehicular regulations for the campus of Clemson University, utilizing new technologies to enhance efficiencies. A proactive approach and positive attitude are a requirement of the position. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
80% - Essential - Patrols assigned parking areas and issues citations to violators, utilizing the new license plate recognition software to enhance enforcement. Impounds, transports and completes records for illegally parked vehicles and bicycles. Assists campus visitors and students with building and parking information.
10% - Essential - Inspects traffic and parking signs in assigned area to ensure they are property posted and lighting is adequate. Reports safety hazards and traffic control devices in need of maintenance or replacement. Responsible for performing routine maintenance and paper replacement in the new multi-space parking meters, and assisting visitors, faculty, staff and students with operation of the meters.
10% - Essential - Installs or removes traffic control barricades when necessary to facilitate traffic flow for major events on campus. Instructs pedestrians and vehicular traffic during special events at intersections and into parking areas. Assists with transporting ADA students and employees upon request. Works weekends and overtime to accommodate special event requests.

Education - High School or Equivalent
Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal < 26,000

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
