Join our team as a Parent and Family Program Liaison, where your efforts will have a direct impact on supporting United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) cadets and their families. This rewarding role involves fostering vital connections between USAFA and Parent Clubs, enhancing the parent and family experience through effective communication, training, and event coordination. This is a hybrid position that will require the candidate to work some days onsite at USAFA in Colorado Springs, CO.
Acting as a liaison between Parent Clubs and USAFA, ensuring the flow of timely and accurate information across multiple communication channels
Conducting parent training sessions and produce informational guides for parents and families
Planning, executing, and supporting parent and family events, ensuring they align with USAFA's messaging guidelines and institutional talking points
Providing administration and outreach services to support the USAFA Parent Liaison Team
Managing email and social media communications, event marketing, and the creation of newsletters and program guides
Overseeing the content management of the USAFA Parent Website
Providing logistical support and attend key USAFA events, including those outside of normal duty hours
Supporting appointee orientations in cooperation with USAFA Admissions and local Parent Clubs
Planning and executing a minimum of two Parent Club Presidents' Conferences annually
Monitoring and managing the government-provided organizational email account and phone line, ensuring professional and accurate responses to inquiries
Monitoring parent social media for issues and inaccuracies, providing professional and accurate information as needed
Assisting the government in executing strategic communications and public relations activities, including content creation and internal training documentation
Ensuring all communications adhere to USAFA Brand Guidelines
2+ years of combined professional experience in customer service and/or communications-related fields
Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Parent of a current or former USAFA cadet
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong team-building and instructional skills
Effective conflict resolution skills
Outstanding customer service abilities
Proven community outreach experience
Event planning proficiency
Bachelor’s Degree is desired
