Job Description:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal with expertise in Employment Law and litigation experience to join their legal team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in handling employment law cases and will provide comprehensive legal support to their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Oversee and manage employment law cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all deadlines and legal requirements are met.
- Litigation Support: Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, document review, deposition preparation, and trial support.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on employment law issues, regulations, and case precedents to support ongoing cases and legal strategies.
- Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
- Compliance: Ensure all employment law practices and procedures comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information for cases.
- Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining case files, scheduling meetings, and organizing legal documents.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on employment law and litigation.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools.
