Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Plant Operations, the Maintenance Painter is primarily responsible for performing general painting functions and repairs on all physical structures.

Accountabilities

Essential Functions

• Performs scheduled painting maintenance in the facility.
• Completes work orders and special projects in a timely manner; keeps maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly; maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
• Is on call for all disaster emergencies such as: snow, ice storms, fire, tornados and floods; is placed on a weekly on call schedule.
• Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.
• Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
• High School education or GED required; graduate of accredited technical school preferred, but not required.
• Position requires a minimum of one to three years of hands-on maintenance and/or mechanical experience.
• Position requires a valid driver’s license.
• Position may require certifications or licenses, as determined by local authority.
