TRC is seeking a Material Handler in the Lawrenceville, GA area

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled material handler to join our team and facilitate the movement of materials within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials. The material handler will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in inventory management, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production facility using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking stock movements, conducting cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
• Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect materials for damage or defects. Report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Storage and Organization: Store materials in designated locations according to established procedures, ensuring accessibility and efficient use of space. Keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfillment. Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with shipping carriers as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of equipment. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any issues for repair or servicing. Follow proper maintenance procedures to ensure equipment longevity and safe operation.
• Communication: Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate material movements and resolve any issues or concerns. Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers regarding inventory status and workflow.
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a material handler or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30-40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
