Packaging Testing lead with simulation testing, human factors & usability testing exp and with Regulatory standards (i.e.: ASTM, ISTA, ISO, etc.)
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Package Testing Lab, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for new client projects, aligned with regulatory standards (ASTM, ISTA, ISO) and client requirements.
Oversee the execution of various packaging qualification processes, including distribution simulation testing, human factors & usability testing, and child resistance & adult-friendly testing.
Collaborate closely with the on-site Package Design and Engineering teams to onboard new clients and provide technical expertise in package performance testing.
Conduct direct client consultations to understand project needs and recommend appropriate testing solutions.
Participate in design reviews, perform root cause analysis of test failures, and identify improvement opportunities.
Manage and mentor a team of Testing Engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.
Develop and maintain training materials for the Test Services program.
Assist in planning and deploying the new on-site Package Testing Lab, enhancing packaging performance testing capabilities.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and other project deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of experience in the Life Sciences industry (Biotech, Pharma, Med Device) with a focus on packaging.
Proven experience in leading and supervising a testing team.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards for packaging (ASTM, ISTA, ISO).
Strong understanding of packaging qualification processes, including distribution simulation, human factors & usability, and child resistance & adult-friendly testing.
Experience with project management, technical documentation, report writing, and package design & prototyping.
