Summary: The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Packaging Manager run the day-to-day preparation, packaging,
and finished product handling processes at the cultivation and processing facility. The successful candidate will be an effective
leader who possesses a passion for cannabis science, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to continually learn more to
help educate her / his team.
Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following, other duties may be assigned): The main responsibility of the Packaging
Supervisor is to assist the overseeing of the day-to-day operations of the packaging team and the packaging of final products,
ensuring consistent compliance with all regulations and the highest levels of safety and cleanliness inside the processing areas.
Collaborates with Management to meet production goals and to make sure the processing area is clean and compliant with current production guidelines and SOPs.
Responsible for day-to-day operations and performance of the packaging team. Collaborates with the Packaging Manger to adhere to a schedule of activities necessary to achieve the daily, weekly, and monthly required output of packaged products.
Assists in the training and development of processing technicians to foster an environment of continuous learning and development
Ensures workstations are set for the Packaging Team in accordance with daily goals established with the Packaging Manager, such as material sorting, weighing, filling, labeling, etc.
Assists in the development of Quality Control programs to ensure all products maintain accurate weights, proper affixing of labels, and maintains overall product integrity
Supervise and implement operation, maintenance, cleaning, adjustment, and repairs of relevant packaging equipment.
Maintain Inventory Records and Batch Sheets for all relevant processing and products. Works with Packaging Manager and Inventory Manager to ensure that all cannabis material is accurate and current in relevant tracking and seed-to-sale systems.
Perform digital inventory movements and tracking within required seed-to-sale platforms to ensure accurate traceability.
Recognizes areas of improvement and contributes to innovations and techniques to allow for continuous improvement to efficiency throughout the packaging process.
Supervise storage of solvents, supplies, and equipment according to guidelines. Ensures consumable inventory levels are replenished regularly to avoid disruptions to production.
Records and reports KPI data to management on a regular basis. Provides suggestions and recommendations for additional data collection and internal performance benchmarks for the team.
Fosters a positive work environment for her / his team; following staff schedules and assigning work and task responsibilities to meet or exceed production.
Partners with Management to follow policies & procedures to guide the daily operations and fully comply with all state medical marijuana regulations and OSHA requirements.
Positively responds to team’s questions, concerns and suggestions and takes immediate action as necessary to resolve conflicts.
Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
Minimum of two-year experience in a packaging facility (cannabis preferred)
Demonstrated work history with a willingness to lead
Knowledge of METRC/Dutchie ideal
Flexible schedule
Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges.

Physical Requirements
Ability to spend an extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet.
Close visual focus required.
This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
Must pass state and federal background checks (state mandated).
