Packaging Operations Manager

The Packaging Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational effectiveness through both human and technology resource optimization. Responsible for creating a roadmap of process and technology solutions which will drive efficient, and effective execution. Implement procedures impacting operations across quality, materials management, engineering and EH&S. Assure compliance within the manufacturing unit or site while delivering high levels of customer service and complying with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teams in troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Provide technical knowledge and training to efficiently produce the highest quality product
• Support packaging by managing the process of investigating exceptions and implementing effective CAPA's
• Manage all aspects of technical training for new and existing packaging personnel. Manage the development of training content including new product introduction and process development
• Drive continuous improvement within packaging and identify cost savings, standard cost reductions and environmental improvements
• Develop and implement business strategies to reduce cost, lead identification and recommendations of actions that adapt and transform the organization to meet changing business needs
• Develop and manage staff through hiring, managing performance, developing talent, and providing clear expectations
• With staff and input from other organizations, able to synthesize action plans, timelines and budgets for product and product goals
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in Packaging
• Business acumen coupled with functional leadership experience is required to drive high performance in a complex manufacturing operations
• Strong analytical capabilities, ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively and execute
