Position Purpose
The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring assigned packaging materials and services are globally purchased at the most cost-effective price without compromising quality or the internal/external customer’s timelines. This entails executing approved procurement plans. Assist in locating, qualifying, developing and managing appropriate competent suppliers. Participate with Procurement Management in negotiating supply agreements/contracts to meet the needs of the company. This position also assists in supplying fiscal budgeting information such as standard costs for materials and appropriate inventory levels to support productions requirements.
This is a hybrid role that requires three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manage the deliveries of packaging materials to ensure delivery on time and in full. Help manage appointments with Warehouse, Production, and vendors.
- Expedite materials from vendors to meet the short- and long-term production schedules. Update MRP system with correct delivery dates and quantities of materials.
- Coordinate vendor related quality claims/issues for materials in a timely manner.
- Identify slow moving or idle inventories via the MRP system. Elevate issues in a timely manner.
- Partner with Marketing, New Product & Packaging Development, Planning and QA teams on new product launches. Purchase samples, and ensure product arrives in a timely manner for production trials.
- Identify and recommend suppliers that can effectively meet Lindt procurement needs in a timely and cost-effective manner without compromising quality.
- Assist Commodity Manager with soliciting and evaluating supplier agreements/contracts to ensure required items/services are provided at the best value and minimal risk to Lindt.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of Procurement experience
- MRP/ERP systems to monitor inventory levels and maintain material control
- Direct material buying experience preferred
- Food manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of IT Systems (SAP, IBP) a plus
- Supplier management skills
- Knowledge of materials management/fiscal budgeting of material
- Knowledge of Purchasing Principles and Practices
- Planning, forecasting and inventory management skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- S. Degree in Business Administration or related discipline required
- Procurement Certification/APICS strongly preferred
