Key Responsibilities

  • Securely pack electronic products using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Ensure all items are correctly labeled and meet the company's quality standards.
  • Inspect products for defects or damages before packing.
  • Ensure packaging meets company specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of packed items.
  • Report discrepancies and damaged items to supervisors.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as production and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Monitor packaging supplies and materials.
  • Request replenishments as needed to ensure continuous workflow.
  • Suggest improvements to packing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to print and pull orders daily.
  • Experience in scheduling shipments and managing shipping manifests.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot shipping issues and handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Strong understanding of safety instructions and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently without interfering with other staff members.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks designated in the physical demand section.
  • Must be able to work a regular and predictable schedule as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production or shipping environment, or equivalent.

Physical Demands While Performing The Job

  • Production Floor: The role may require standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks. It's essential for shipping clerks to have a good level of physical fitness to be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
