PRC Baker Places is a non-profit residential treatment agency that has provided the San Francisco community with alternatives to institutional care since 1964. Our direct care professionals provide counseling and case management services to previously homeless adults living with co-occurring diagnoses of chronic mental illness and substance use disorder. All agency services are provided from the philosophy of social rehabilitation which integrates teaching daily living skills in a safe and healthy environment.

The Outpatient Therapist provides psychotherapy and case management services to AILP and OH clients. The primary emphasis of this position is to provide therapy, case management, crisis, and assessment services to adults with mental health, substance use disorder and HIV related issues in supported transitional residential cooperative living settings.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Provide psychotherapy to a caseload of AILP and/or OH clients, up to 20 hours of direct client contact/week.
Provide outreach to AILP and OH clients who may otherwise not access services by traveling to their supportive housing locations and providing on-site services.
Assess clients for appropriateness for placement into AILP and OH.
Develop, implement and monitor best practices, policies and procedures for Masters-level trainees and/or interns to provide services to clients while in a clearly defined clinical training and supervision program.
Documentation quality and timeliness must meet Medi-Cal and other agency standards.
Provide culturally competent services using harm reduction and trauma informed principles.
Provide consultation to staff regarding symptom management, mental health conditions and crisis intervention strategies.
Assist with crisis interventions and assess situations for further needs.
Maintain a productivity target of 20 hours of billable services per week.
Participate in agency and outside meetings, committees and workgroups.
Performs rotating on-call and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
California Licensed or License Eligible LCSW, LMFT, Psy.D., ASW, AMFT, LPCC, APCC
Two years clinical experience working with adults with mental health/substance use disorder/HIV related issues.
Knowledgeable about San Francisco community resources that serve our population preferred. Strong practical and theoretical foundation in clinical MH/SUD evidence-based best practices. Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems/AVATAR/Epic and Microsoft office platform.
Willingness to work non-traditional hours as the job necessitates.
Must maintain First Aid and CPR Certifications.
