The applicant shall provide instrumentation for all music associated with worship such as preludes, postludes, congregational singing, music offertories, anthems, choral music, and service music at both the scheduled Sunday services; Liturgical and Contemporary Protestant Services
The applicant shall coordinate with the Pastor on all instrumental music and songs for each service, as well as the special/seasonal services
The applicant will be practicing with choir prior to services
The applicant will provide rehearsals for musicians/choir
The applicant shall develop, promote, and enhance the choral ministry program in the chapel community
Education & Qualifications:
Shall be at least a High School graduate with a minimum of two (2) years of music education and/or experience.
Shall hold knowledge of hymnal background, thorough technical preparation in organ and piano playing to include a broad knowledge of the literature of the instrument, a comprehensive knowledge of the literature of church music, a thorough knowledge of the art of conducting, and able to work with as well as in concert with the Duty Chaplain of the Services(s).
Shall possess a good command of the English language
