Join our team as an Oracle Database Administrator, where you will provide essential technical support to DoD employees on NMCI and DoD legacy networks. You'll leverage your expertise in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) to offer comprehensive database support, including maintenance and issue resolution in collaboration with end-users, DBAs, and server administrators. Your role will involve guiding application users, testers, developers, and other team members to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from a database perspective.
Key Responsibilities Include
Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the database architecture and general application functionality to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Performing routine and emergency database patches, upgrades, and backups.
Monitoring database audit trails to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Reviewing and analyzing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for the Oracle database environment and WebLogic environment.
Conducting monitoring, audit trail analysis, performance tuning, backups, and recovery of databases using Oracle tools and utilities.
Conducting initial testing of new systems and analyzing test failures.
Researching Oracle database business process solutions and assessing their viability for adoption in the client environment.
This position is based in Bremerton, WA.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, 12g, or 19c
Professional work experience in a relevant field
Proficiency with Oracle tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Toad, Golden Gate, RMAN, WebLogic, and Data Guard
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems and platforms, as well as query languages for database operations and error diagnostics
Understanding of data mining, data storage, and data warehousing concepts, methods, and technology
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
CompTIA Security+ or information assurance certification
Additional Qualifications
Experience in a government environment
Experience mitigating Security Technical Implementation Guides findings
Knowledge of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related technical field
Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
Clearance
