Minimum Qualifications
Basic or better computer skills. Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
Must possess excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be detail-oriented and proficient in organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English; writing, speaking, understanding and reading.
Successful completion of Level II Background Screening to include, but not limited to a drug test and finger printing.
12 Hour WEEKENDS - 8AM to 8PM.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required in addition to one-year clerical experience (college education/vocational training can substitute for required training).
Performance Standards And Expectations
Incumbent greets visitors to the facility in a courteous manner.
Provides limited information to the public regarding services rendered at the State Nursing Home.
Answers and routes incoming and in-house calls.
Takes and delivers accurate messages to appropriate staff members in a timely fashion.
Maintains order in the reception area provides magazines and other reading material to visitors as well as residents.
Ensure adequate lighting and comfortable room temperatures are maintained within the reception area.
Always ensure Residents Rights as well as Resident confidentially is protected.
Prepare letters, reports, forms, and other documents, assuring that they are accurate and timely.
Deliver medication received via the mail immediately to the respective section.
Assisting families and visitors with meal receipts, and with the purchasing of meals.
Coordinates mail flow in and out of the office, along with collecting and distributing parcels.
Performs basic bookkeeping, filing, cash handling and clerical duties.
Able to remain calm in emergency situations and capable of using an overhead PA system for announcements.
Ensures and maintains protocol for employee daily and weekly screening processes.
Performs other routine office duties as instructed by supervisor.

This is work answering inquiries and obtaining information for public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. Incumbents provide information regarding activities conducted at establishment: location of departments, offices, and employees within organization.
This is an OPS (Temporary) position.
