The Operations Support Manager will be responsible for leading the front-line employees through strategic planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of operations. This role will work to improve performance in safety, quality, productivity and profitability through effective leadership methods and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable for hourly and salary direct reports full employment life cycle to include: motivation; recognition; competency with all business objectives; setting expectations while planning and communicating all goals to team members (incorporates feedback on actual results against goals and plans to close gaps).
Collaborates with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments.
Collects, evaluates, analyzes, and assesses production data.
Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
Ensure systems are in place to drive continuous improvement and build in sustainability by leading and being a role model of 5S.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
At least five to seven years of management experience with increasing scope and responsibility highly preferred.
Knowledge of LEAN and High-Performance Work Teams / Self Directed Work Team is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
