Operations Supervisor

The Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) are responsible for housing, picking and ultimately delivering genuine Toyota parts to 177 dealerships in the Southeast. The PDC’s perform de-vanning, receiving, and picking functions in a warehouse environment with operations focused on efficiently delivering the right part at the right time. The Operations Supervisor will effectively lead a team of associate's in support of day-to-day business operations. Inspiring action and associate engagement & development are vital competencies of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of up to 20 associates.
  • Coach associates to achieve maximum efficiency and quality through regular development discussions using the Individual Development Planning process.
  • Use sound judgement to make good decisions, leveraging data as needed.
  • Effectively partner with the Operations manager, AOM’s, other Supervisors and Operations Support Specialists to ensure daily production and quality standards are achieved.
  • Hold associates accountable by providing timely and actionable positive and corrective feedback at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Minimum requirement of two years’ experience effectively leading teams, experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Candidates should have experience maximizing personal contributions from each member of their team.
  • Previous supervisory experience where formally responsible for coaching and performance management preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Experience in Manhattan, Blue Yonder or SAP Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to provide trends and other information to improve individual, team or organizational performance.
  • Experience with or ability to learn data visualization software such as Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of continuous or process improvement methods like Kaizen are preferred.
  • Our warehouse operates 24 hours a day / 6 days a week; candidates should have a willingness to work non-traditional hours in support of operations. Shift assignments rotate annually and may be one of the following schedules:
    • Monday through Friday: 6:00 am – 3:00 pm
    • Monday through Friday: 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm
    • Sunday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Thursday: 3:30 pm – 12:30 am
