BodySpec®

Operations Specialist

BodySpec® Austin, TX

Work with the operations team to help manage daily operations of our business, and improve them through exciting, groundbreaking projects that will fuel the growth of the company.

You'll Love This Job If:

  • You take joy in building things – whether it’s a new porch, a piece of equipment, or a storefront – and you don’t hesitate to get your hands dirty. You take pride in the quality of your process as well as your final product
  • You have experience and love working with power tools and machines - drills, CNC routers, saws - all the toys!
  • You have some mechanical or technical expertise or experience - and, more importantly, you're willing to learn more
  • You stay calm in the face of pressure
  • You are excited about rolling out improvements across the whole team, and about being involved in major growth initiatives to enable our services to expand across the country

What Will You Do?

  • Operate a CNC router, 3D printers, drills, saws, and various other tools to play a pivotal role in the assembly, testing, deployment, and improvement of our equipment, storefronts, and fleet
  • Serve as a first point of contact for emergency issues affecting our daily business across several states. In addition, communicate regularly with the broader team, to facilitate improvements that lead to improved equipment uptime and higher service quality for both staff and clients
  • Monitor daily reports and logs to maximize equipment uptime
  • Assist with equipment repairs, inventory of parts, and materials for repairs and new builds
  • Work closely with all members of our team to ensure that our services run effectively and efficiently across the company

Notes:

  • Mechanical expertise or experience is a big plus, though not a hard requirement. The desire to learn, master, and apply technical concepts is a requirement
  • The Operations team is collectively responsible for coordinating daily coverage to watch for and manage any emergencies that may arise. Each member of the operations team will be responsible for providing some of this coverage and some weekend on-call duties are expected
  • Work will take place at our offices in Austin, TX. Occasional travel to other BodySpec operating regions will be necessary

Compensation:

All-in total expected compensation as a first-year Operations Specialist is $67,000.

  • Starting pay for position is $57,000 per year
  • Full-time team members also receive $500 per month in team bonuses if we hit our monthly team revenue and individual performance goals. All goals are designed to be challenging but doable, and we hit all our monthly revenue goals in 2023 except one
  • All team members regardless of status or position are eligible for profit sharing/stock options

Benefits:

  • Sick leave
  • Paid time off
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k
  • Company-wide peer bonus program, where cash bonuses are distributed in recognition of excellent team support
  • Monthly bonus program for achieving company goals
  • Employee assistance program
  • Regular virtual and in-person social events
