Operations Research Analyst (Instructor).

Duties

• Serves as an Operations Research Analyst (Instructor) assisting the Course Director to plan, organize, and develop the presentation of Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) within a graduate-level course that is comprised of numerous topics.
• Delivers professional graduate-level facilitation and instruction over assigned course modules.
• Ensures work is reviewed for consistency with budget resource program objectives, and policy.
• Provides consulting services, doctrinal reviews, and updates as required.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Basic Requirement - Education: Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing analytical tools or simulations to evaluate training support programs and participating in applied research or development of military training applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
