Operations Research Analyst

JANUS Research Group is currently hiring an Operations Research Analyst to support IAC MAC at Quantico, VA. This position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

• Conducting exploratory analysis including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis (predictive and/or prescriptive) EXDIV
• Structure datasets and conduct feature engineering to transform big data sets into actionable analytical insight.
• Develop algorithms for prediction, recommendation, and optimization using statistics and machine learning
• Develop and present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline such as data science, operations research, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other similar quantitative fields
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python and/or
• Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, and data mining
• Experience with SharePoint and TEAMS
• Ability to analyze, report, and develop recommendations on data related to operational metrics
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

Nice If You Have

• Experience using ADVANA applications such as the External Data Loader (EDL), Databricks, Qlik, Data Robot, etc
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI
• Experience working within the DoD
• Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline such as data science, operations research, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other similar quantitative fields
  
  

Salary: $116,000
