Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Permanent Operations/Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and inventory management processes. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a knack for negotiation, and a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage budgets, improve processes, and maintain the highest quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the supply chain, inventory, and purchasing departments.
- Developing and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Analyzing inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks.
- Managing budgets and maintaining statistical and financial records.
- Identifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
- Implementing effective quality control processes at every stage of production.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Working closely with the production team to ensure products are manufactured on time and are of good quality.
- Regularly reviewing operational processes and implementing improvements.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, costing, inventory analysis, budget management, process improvement, and quality control.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred but not required.
- Strong hands-on working experience with NetSuite
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and other related computer applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
