Operations Manager

Seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and ensure smooth functioning of our Metal production and manufacturing plant in Mexico.


Details:

  • M-F Day Shift in Office setting in Denver, CO
  • Travel to Mexico plant required


Responsibilities:

Involved in Strategic Operational Planning, Coordinating and Execution, Monitor Day-to-Day Operations, Inventory Management and Budget Adherence, Process Optimization, Communication and Coordination and Quality Control.


  • Develop and execute long-term strategies aligned with big picture organizational goals.
  • Generate reports on production output, downtime, and efficiency.
  • Ensure that production issues are Identified and resolved promptly.
  • Track, order and manage raw materials and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels based on current business plan and goals
  • Coordinate closely with Accounting and Finance departments to stay on budget
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational policies, procedures, and best practices working with Quality and Production Mangers
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, and track and report business KPIs.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers and various internal departments


Background of Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and detail-oriented with a keen eye for process improvement and problem-solving skills.


Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration is a plus


Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Management or in a similar role within Industrial Manufacturing
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Project management and leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with production machinery and tools (including CNC manufacturing operations.)
  • Understanding of ERP systems required.
  • Excellent communication skills and should be comfortable communicating with people throughout all levels of the organization.

Bonus:

  • Metal Extrusion operations experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 quality systems
  • APICS certification a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
