Founded in 2004, BME Strategies is a Massachusetts-based consulting firm specializing in providing Public Health design and implementation programming for local, regional and state governments.


The Office Manager provides human resources, bookkeeping, and general administrative support for BME Strategies. They are a skilled operations professional who assists firm leadership in enhancing the systems that enable a growing, high-performing team to focus on supporting BME Strategies' clients. The Office Manager is dedicated to improving efficiency and quality while developing systems without unnecessary layers or bureaucracy. This is a fully remote, part-time position with flexible scheduling, estimated at approximately 20-25 hours per week.


Responsibilities:


Human Resources

- Assists in the hiring process, including job posting, applicant tracking, candidate correspondence and screening, and coordination of interviews and onboarding plans

- Ensures internal accountability from hiring teams throughout the onboarding process

- Maintains employee documents and ensures compliance with online HR systems and state reporting and filing requirements

- Tracks quarterly tax reporting by an external vendor to ensure compliance

- Files and updates any necessary state registrations for new businesses or employees

- Provides support during annual benefits selection and open enrollment periods

- Processes payroll for employees (biweekly) and consultant invoices (monthly)


General Operations

- Maintains comprehensive client files and assists in monthly client invoicing

- Handles general web inquiries and directs communications to the appropriate staff members

- Supports internal organizational systems, such as digital file management and archiving

- Performs other assigned functions as necessary


Education and Experience:

An ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or HR/Admin, and have 3-5 years of experience in an operations role with significant exposure to Human Resources functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, are essential qualities at BME Strategies. Proficiency in Quickbooks and spreadsheet software (Sheets, Excel, etc.) is required.


Salary range$25 - $35 per hour
