Job Overview: Southern Drone OPS is seeking an organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our company, ensuring that all projects and flights are executed seamlessly and efficiently. This is a dynamic position that requires a detail-oriented and driven individual with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate all drone flight operations, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with clients and team members
Develop and maintain project timelines and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Liaise with the drone pilots and technicians to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and all safety protocols are followed
Monitor weather conditions and airspace restrictions to ensure flights are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all flight operations, including flight logs, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory
Review and approve all flight plans and risk assessments before each mission
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify potential new clients and develop proposals for projects
Assist with the recruitment and training of new drone pilots and technicians
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
Monitor and analyze operational expenses and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the drone or aviation industry
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong knowledge of drone technology and flight operations
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Familiarity with FAA regulations and safety protocols
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Salary: $34,000 to $48,000 yearly
