Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, engaging, and reliable middle school/high school science teachers to teach one or multiple weekly science lessons (biology, chemistry, physics, life science, etc.) for 5th to 12th-grade level students located abroad. As a virtual science teacher, you will create a dynamic learning environment that fosters students' understanding of basic concepts across various scientific disciplines, while nurturing their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive lesson plans, curricula, and supplementary instructional resources that both guide and challenge students.
Provide personalized, online instruction to individual students and small groups, addressing their unique learning needs.
Encourage students to cultivate independent thinking and critical reasoning abilities.
Design and administer relevant assignments, quizzes, and tests to assess student comprehension.
Evaluate and grade student assignments promptly and constructively.
Assess each student's skill level and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Monitor and evaluate student progress in relation to course standards.
Maintain regular communication with counselors regarding student performance and development.
Prepare accurate report cards and maintain meticulous records of student achievements.
Participate in meetings with parents and staff to discuss student progress and educational strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or a related field (biology, chemistry, physics).
State board teaching certification or professional license with relevant endorsements.
Proficient in current middle school science education standards.
Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience, preferably in an online or virtual setting.
Ability to develop engaging curricula and create effective lesson plans.
Dynamic, articulate, patient, reliable, and professional demeanor.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with current online teaching technologies and platforms.
Compensation
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
