We're on the lookout for passionate English Language Arts (ELA) teachers to join our team. This role primarily involves instructing K-12 students in English Language Arts during weekday afternoons (Monday to Friday) and on weekends.
Ideal candidates will have experience in areas such as writing contests, SAT/ACT preparation, AP English, and private school test preparation.
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of experience in English teaching, including at least 3 years of recent online teaching experience.
Proficiency in utilizing Zoom and Google Classroom, along with a stable internet connection.
Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field.
Exceptional communication and instructional skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit students' interests and learning styles.
Friendly, approachable, and reliable demeanor.
Responsibilities
Develop and assign various assessments while maintaining clear learning objectives.
Provide one-on-one support to students when necessary.
Monitor and report students' progress to administrators.
Maintain regular communication with school administrators to understand students' backgrounds.
Follow a consistent work schedule.
Compensation
Compensation starts at $20 per hour or higher, inclusive of preparation time and homework correction/comments.
