Job Description
As an Online Instructor in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of experts in these rapidly evolving fields. Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching graduate-level courses encompassing Data Science Tools, SQL, Python, Data Mining & Statistical Modeling, Visual Analytics, Machine Learning, Text Analytics & Natural Language Processing, Big Data, and Spreadsheets for Data Analysis.
Engaging with students in an online, asynchronous format throughout 15-week and 7-week terms.
Demonstrating expertise in your field and facilitating connections between concepts to enrich students' academic journey.
Essential Duties Summary
We're looking for someone who is passionate about education and dedicated to student success. Your essential duties will include:
Actively engaging students through frequent interaction and conveying genuine enthusiasm for their learning journey.
Providing timely, thorough, and constructive feedback to students, utilizing effective assessment methods such as rubrics, while also recognizing student achievements.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A Ph.D. in Data Science, Health Informatics, Applied Mathematics, or a Master's Degree plus 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
Experience teaching at the college level or professional training experience.
The ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and collaborate closely with faculty and staff in a supportive academic environment.
