Position Overview
We are seeking a remote part-time adjunct faculty member to instruct students in metal machining concepts within our online classroom environment. This role involves integrating educational and practical experiences to facilitate course material effectively. As an adjunct faculty member, you'll play a crucial role in providing quality instruction and support to students as they progress through their educational journey.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain teaching assignments in accordance with established faculty requirements and responsibilities.
Engage with students in an asynchronous online classroom environment through threaded discussions, instructor guidance, and assignment feedback, providing academic interaction five days a week.
Offer student support via email, phone, and within the Learning Management System, ensuring timely and effective assistance.
Grade student work promptly, offering constructive feedback to aid in their academic success.
Cultivate a positive learning environment that encourages active student participation and discussion.
Fulfill professional obligations by meeting deadlines, coordinating resources efficiently, and demonstrating respect for colleagues.
Maintain accurate record-keeping practices.
Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment and contribute to the development of curricular materials as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
Minimum of two years of professional experience as a machinist.
Minimum of two years of experience teaching or training adult learners.
