As an Onboarding Specialist, you’ll manage key hiring and onboarding programs for our new employees while providing them regular support and ensuring a world-class experience. This role is responsible for administration of the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring that new hires are set up for success. The Onboarding Specialist will be the primary point of contact for new hires, field recruiters, general managers, and onboarding stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex processes and exhibits strong communication skills, sense for urgency, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Oversee new hire onboarding program administration with a focus on creating best-in-class employee experience
Be the first line of support for candidates, new hires, and hiring managers to answer questions about policies, benefits, day one logistics, etc.
Ensure candidates are well informed of what to expect during the onboarding process and are kept informed of the status of their pre-hire requirements
Process incoming new hires in the HRIS system (Workday) and ensure that all hire processes are completed. Regularly audits data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Partner with onboarding stakeholders (hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, HR Systems, etc.) to ensure logistics of onboarding run smoothly
Manage pre-employment background screenings including working with internal teams, assessing completed reports, and managing vendor relationships
Ensure all new hire compliance requirements are met, onboarding paperwork is complete, and properly document evidence of compliance for future audits
Schedules new hire orientation dates and first day/week training
Creates a world class-class new hire experience, reducing new hire attrition
Qualifications
2 years of experience within HR Operations or Administrative Function
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Experience managing relationships.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong people skills and an ability to connect and support employees at all levels
Deep concern for data integrity, superior organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
Able to accurately prioritize and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Ability to interact with highly confidential data with sensitivity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills with keen awareness of when to escalate topics requiring additional support
MS Office Suite, with intermediate Excel preferred.
