Overview of the Role:

As a Senior Knowledge Manager for the Digital Practice at Oliver Wyman, you will be responsible for setting the Knowledge Management strategy in collaboration with KM and Practice leaders and executing best in-class knowledge management initiatives and processes to achieve it. You will take a key role with cross-practice collaboration across the knowledge management team ensuring a seamless flow of information globally. You will proactively manage the synthesis and codification of our Intellectual Capital and act as the lynchpin, connecting people to the experts, expertise, and insights efficiently. You will manage the capture, classification, storage, and dissemination of the Oliver Wyman Digital knowledge base and will work on ensuring our knowledge platform is kept well maintained, strategically looking for ways to increase usage and footfall. In addition, you will proactively manage the content landscape within Digital, assessing content gaps and hot topics.

Importantly, you will be a key point of contact for the Digital team as they work look to identify leading Oliver Wyman experts and credentials in support of business development activities. You will proactively disseminate Oliver Wyman Intellectual Capital in support of client relationship building activities, attending practice calls and events, to identify knowledge sharing opportunities.


Key responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with Digital leadership team and Digital KM team, setting the KM Strategy and Annual Plan for the Americas and leading the execution of key initiatives
  • Managing stakeholder relations with Digital Practice leadership, and engaging Digital SMEs
  • Overseeing standard processes for end-of-project knowledge capture and conducting proactive outreach to source other key content
  • Leading the curation of Digital content on Oliver Wyman’s global knowledge platform and wikis to ensure content is relevant, recent and accessible
  • Driving awareness and usage of Digital content through training, newsletters, and individual stakeholder meetings
  • Managing the Digital Knowledge Analyst (Americas) and providing mentoring and oversight to other junior KM team members as needed
  • Providing on-demand KM support to identify relevant content, credentials, and expertise for consulting teams; tracking trends and identifying knowledge needs through these activities
  • Providing dedicated KM support to key Digital commercial platforms – including updating SharePoint sites, developing newsletters, and proactively creating/curating content for business development efforts.


This role reports directly to the Americas and Asia Pacific Region Head of Knowledge Management, based in New York. You will have direct management responsibility for the full-time Digital Senior Knowledge Analyst, based in Mexico City and will also work collaboratively with our Digital Knowledge Management team in Europe.


This position will be based in the United States, but the role has both global and local dimensions and responsibilities.


This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in the office.


Attributes and Experience

The ideal candidate will have most of the following:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in knowledge management, research or business development, ideally within a professional services firm
  • At least 2 years’ experience managing and mentoring people
  • Proactive client service mindset, and ability to tailor support to diverse internal clients
  • Digital/technology enthusiast - expresses intellectual curiosity in topics pertinent to our Digital clients (including technology strategies, digital products, data and artificial intelligence); experience in one or more areas is ideal
  • Ability to be self-led and proactive; takes initiative to identify knowledge needs and design/execute KM initiatives to meet those needs
  • Experience in managing and organizing large volumes of content and data
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changes in client and industry needs
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint as an advantage)


The applicable base salary range for this role is $116,000 to $152,000


The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
