Office Assistant - Greenville, SC

JOB SUMMARY:

Part-time Office Assistant to assist the Lead Administrative Assistant in the Extension office for 20 hours per week. Handle daily calls, walk-in customers, and processing of various samples. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Assist walk in clientele by answering questions and routing phone calls to appropriate staff members.

40% - Essential - Assist clientele with soil samples and plant problem submissions. Prepare and process various samples for mailing and/or delivery.

10% - Essential - Assist office staff as needed with program preparation and activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent - Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Work Exp 1+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Associate's Degree

Compensation Information

Anticipated Salary: $16.00 Hourly

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Essential Personnel Level

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
