Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist performs Occupational Therapy services and assessments to UCM patients upon referral from a licensed practitioner. The OTR/L practices in an assigned clinical division of the Therapy Services department. The environment is fast-paced, offering the opportunity to work with medically complex patients. These positions will provide clinical service with opportunities for program development, mentoring and supervision of occupational therapy students.
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an approved program in Occupational Therapy
Minimum of Masters degree required
CPR Certification in BLS
Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific /appropriate for the types of patients served
Basic computer skills to allow access to operations and patient data
Appropriate interpersonal skills necessary to enable positive interactions with patients, families, team member, referral sources, and outside contacts
Licenses/Qualifications
Requires graduation from an approved occupational therapy school
Requires current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Illinois
CPR certification as healthcare provider
