An Occupational Health RN - Staff assists/works with the Team Leader in the provision of on-site occupational health services at a company/industry through SRHS’ Nurse-At-Work Program. The OHN collaborates with workers, employers, and other professionals to: identify health needs; prioritize interventions; develop and implement interventions and programs; and evaluate care and service delivery. The practice focuses on promotion, protection and restoration of workers’ health within the context of a safe and healthy work environment. The foundation for occupational health nursing practice is research-based with an emphasis on optimizing health, preventing illness and injury and reducing health hazards.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Active License as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina
Experience
Occupational Health experience or Adult Med/Surg, CCU or ER experience
License/Registration/Certifications
Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina

Core Job Responsibilities
Adhere to all SRHS Standards of Behavior and policies
Perform exams needed for surveillance programs to include hearing tests, pulmonary function tests, vision tests, drug/alcohol testing and others as needed
Perform proficient phlebotomy skills
Document and maintain patient charts either electronically or manually
Maintain all control logs to include refrigerator temperature, point of care testing controls, calibrations of instruments
Evaluate and treat work-related injuries
Provides excellent customer service to contracted client, patients, and others involved in the care and treatment of the injured worker
Keep all emergency supplies stocked and up to date
Perform immunizations and documentation
Provide preventive health screenings
Assist in wellness activities
Provide health education and evaluate personal illness within RN scope
Provide emergency treatment and stabilization for injured worker’s
Provide emergency stabilization for non-work related injuries per standing orders
