NY Financial Restructuring Finance Junior Associate

The New York Office of Paul Hastings LLP is looking to hire a 2nd to 3rd year finance associate. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a broad array of complex debt financing transactions, including acquisition financing (especially for sponsor-backed companies in the middle market), term loan facilities and working capital facilities, as well as familiarity with commitment letters and sponsor grids, unitranche facilities, and intercreditor arrangements. Though our practice’s largest clients are private credit and opportunistic debt funds, ad hoc lender groups, and investment and commercial banks, we regularly represent corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors, as well.

What is unique about this role is that it sits within Paul Hastings’s dynamic financial restructuring practice and, in addition to working on new loan originations and managing existing capital structures, you will have the opportunity to represent clients on a wide range of special situations, workout, and in and out of court restructuring transactions. While experience with distressed credit would be a plus, a solid base in leveraged finance, combined with an intellectual curiosity in expanding your skill set beyond performing credit, is more important.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $225,000 and a maximum of $260,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
