Vice President Nutrition & Education Programs at Adagio Health

Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire one (1) full-time Nutrition Educator for its Beaver County location.

The Nutrition Educator is at the forefront of two (2) pivotal nutrition programs:

WIC (Women, Infants, and Children): Offering nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and education to pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5.

Power Up: Energizing school-aged kids from PreK to high school, adults, and seniors with nutrition education and physical activity promotion, empowering them to make the healthy choice the easy one.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NUTRITION EDUCATOR

Imagine a day where your passion for health and nutrition not only fuels your career but also profoundly impacts diverse communities. As a Nutrition Educator at Adagio Health, each day is a unique adventure, a blend of challenges and rewards, as you immerse yourself in the vibrant world of nutritional education and empowerment.

Your morning day may start in the heart of the WIC program. Here, your expertise lights the way for pregnant and postpartum women, as well as children up to age 5. You're not just an educator; you're a lifeline, providing essential nutrition and breastfeeding counseling. Your voice, whether soothing a new mother over the phone or crafting a nutritious food package, becomes a beacon of hope and health. As you document progress and schedule upcoming visits, you realize the impact of your work extends far beyond these walls.

Transitioning to the Power Up program, your day is filled with dynamic interactions. From lively preschoolers to insightful seniors, your audience is as diverse as it is eager. Guided by the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, you weave the science of nutrition into engaging, practical advice. Whether in a classroom setting or a community center, your words encourage healthy choices among school-aged children, adults, and the elderly. The joy in a child's eyes as they discover the fun in healthy eating, or the gratitude of a senior learning to manage their diet, reinforces the value of your role.

Collaboration is a key part of your day. Teaming up with community partners and school leaders, you're at the forefront of creating meaningful Policy, Systems, and Environmental changes. You're not just teaching nutrition; you're a catalyst for healthier communities. Your efforts in promoting physical activity and advocating for better food choices are reshaping lives.

Each day at Adagio Health as a Nutrition Educator offers a tapestry of experiences. You're shaping not just diets, but lifestyles, touching lives across generations. The knowledge that each day you're contributing to a healthier, happier community makes this more than a job - it's a calling. If you're ready to make a difference, embrace a day filled with variety, challenges, and the profound satisfaction of improving public health, this is your opportunity to shine.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition (food, education, human, food systems), Public Health, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Passion and eagerness to make a difference
