Brain Balance is seeking a Nutrition Coach with passion and experience in implementing sustainable nutrition changes to support a healthy brain and body.  Experience and familiarity in nutrition for kids is a must, including working with food sensitivities and picky eating.

Brain Balance improves attention, cognition, and overall well-being through an integrated approach that combines cognitive, physical, and sensory training with nutritional guidance to strengthen and build brain connectivity without the use of medication. The program is a drug-free, personalized program that works with both kids and adults.

Job Description


The Nutrition Coaches at Brain Balance work directly with families and adults, helping to implement the Balance 360 nutrition program. This includes answering questions and helping to provide meal, snack and food ideas that fit within the nutrition goals the individual and/or family is working to achieve.  This role requires someone who is adept at communicating through video conferences and email.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in regular 1:1 nutrition sessions with participants (parents or adults) enrolled in the program
  • Help families brainstorm strategies for addressing picky eating, snack, and food ideas that align with the parents’ nutritional goals
  • Maintain company and department quality standards
  • Communicate regularly with the Director of Nutrition
  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings

Requirements:

  • Nutrition coaching 
  • Ability to speak to nutritional needs of children, including topics of picky eating
  • Strong ability to communicate and educate
  • Proficiency in remote communication with families via video conference, email and phone calls
  • Comfort learning and using a variety of technology
  • Ability to work evenings and one or two Saturdays per month

Experience:

  • Degreed Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in nutrition coaching
  • Behavior change training and education (ie: Motivational Interviewing)
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus!


This is a remote, per diem hourly position with a starting pay range based on education and experience.
