Shift

Third Shift (United States of America)

Assume delegated authority/accountability from organizational leadership in their absence to direct/manage all operational activities including placement of staffing resources need to meet patient care requirements. Coordinate activities related to patient placement including admission and transfer. Serve as a clinical and administrative resource to nursing, ancillary and physician staff; and assure support of patients, families and visitors in crisis.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years nursing experience to include a minimum of one year experience in critical care or adult progressive care and some experience as a relief charge nurse required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • FEMA disaster training within 6 months of hire required.
  • Ability to make rapid and accurate assessments of patients and situations, and determine appropriate responses required.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve multiple concurrent tasks required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to function as a clinical resource in a diverse setting required.
  • Demonstrate clinical competencies in complex nursing skills required.
  • Ability to function in stressful situations in a manner that promotes calmness, efficiency,

and confidence required.

  • Strong critical thinking skills required.
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent required.
  • Commissioned as Notary Public within 6 months of hire required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management experience preferred.
