We're looking for Nursing Manager - Psychiatry for our client with a leading hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Position: Nursing Manager - Psychiatry

Location: Brooklyn, NY.

Duration: 3 months contract with extension possibilities.

Shift: Days - 5X8

Pay - $76/hr

Job Duties:

• The Nurse Manager Psychiatry, will assume 24-hour responsibility for overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Psychiatry Nurse Manager demonstrates experience in facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising and evaluating patient progress.
• Manager for Psychiatry will also provide clinical supervision which involves discussing specific cases, problems and treatment interventions for patients with the healthcare team.
• Foster an environment of collaboration and respect with all other healthcare team members. Weekend and holiday coverage as needed is also a responsibility of the role as Nurse Manager. Performs related duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience working in Psychiatry.
• Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, required.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent creative skills, ideas to improve existing programs.
• Services, processes, ideas that have impact on this job and the department.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree

Required Certifications & Licensure:

Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
